We are always on the lookout for additions to join our hot air balloon chase crew.

Chasing hot air balloons is a fun and physical job. It’s perfect for early risers who want an outside job that is unique and social with scheduling flexibility. Chase crew help with the whole experience of a hot air balloon flight. This includes assembling and inflating the hot air balloons, interacting with passengers to ensure a safe and special experience, helping to keep hot air balloon equipment in good working and safe order, and disassembling and putting away the equipment post-flight.

Additionally, chase crew assist their crew chiefs to complete daily checklists and any additional activities that present themselves. Many hands make light work, so the chase crew must be reliable and work well as a team. As a ground crew member, there is opportunity to move up in responsibility and pay to become a crew chief or office staff. In order to do either you will have to display: good leadership skills, reliability, prioritization of safety, prioritization of the care of the equipment, vehicles, and land, being personable with passengers, and willingness to learn new skills.
